A team starts with what it has.
Zone began with friends trying to assemble working PCs, a full lineup, and a chance to compete together. It was not a large operation. It was a team with somewhere it wanted to go.
Zone
Esports Namibia
Zone Esports Namibia is a voluntary gaming and esports community based in Namibia and open to participation beyond Namibia where requirements allow.
Founded by Quintin Duarte van Wyk, Zone Esports Namibia is a voluntary multi-title esports platform. Counter-Strike shaped our first established competitive chapter, Mobile Legends followed, and more titles can be adopted as communities form.
Our Story
Zone was founded on 13 February 2015. The early years were small and informal: friends built and improved PCs, formed teams, and travelled to local LANs and competitions around Keetmanshoop, Upington, Windhoek, Walvis Bay, and Swakopmund. Not every old bracket or roster survives, but the story does: one team grew into today's community. Counter-Strike came first, Mobile Legends followed later, and more game communities can still find a place here.
Zone began with friends trying to assemble working PCs, a full lineup, and a chance to compete together. It was not a large operation. It was a team with somewhere it wanted to go.
Players took part in smaller tournaments and LANs in Keetmanshoop, Upington, Windhoek, Walvis Bay, and Swakopmund. They played to win, learn, enjoy the trip, and return better prepared for the next competition.
At the Oryx-hosted, NESA-supported MTC NamLAN, Zone competed through two MLBB lineups: Zone Saints finished second and Zone Lane Vaders finished fourth.
Zone's modern Founding Statement became effective, beginning a formal phase for governance, safeguarding, written roles, community standards, and accountable operations.

Mission & Values
Zone's mission is to build a disciplined, competitive, and community-focused organization that develops talent, protects its members, represents professional standards, and creates real opportunities in gaming, esports, content, and digital culture.
Counter-Strike shaped the first established competitive chapter, Mobile Legends followed, and new communities can bring more titles into Zone.
Players and communities get a clearer route to find teammates, form squads, enter external competitions, and improve together.
Team searches, tryouts, scrims, friendlies, content, and title groups help more people take part.
Result posts, event coverage, and official channels preserve what Zone teams and players have achieved.
Captains, competition coordinators, media contributors, and community volunteers help each opportunity become something real.
